Oscar nominees forecast:

OK, right before Academy nominates best pictures tomorrow morning, I had to predict those. It's almost predictable, but here you are.

Brokeback Mountain
Crash (my favorite)
Walk the Line (also my favorite)
Good Night and Good Luck
Capote

So, I guess Munich, History of Violence, Match Point will be all out.

PRESENTING: THE NEW BEAUTIES (Star Telegram)

Heck, Emmy Rossum even played young Audrey Hepburn on TV. Now she just needs to refine that Miss Kitty-Gunsmoke pose. (You mean this?)
Emmy Rossum

No contest: Keira Knightley is queen of the Sparkly Brown-eyed Beauties.

Could Natalie Portman be heir to Hepburn's lofty throne? With her shorn locks and elegant carriage, we think so. (I think so, too!)

Elegant, yes. But Memoirs of a Geisha actress Ziyi Zhang also looks lemon chiffon-o-rrific.

Since the '50s, Belgian-born actress Audrey Hepburn has set the bar for timeless elegance.

p.s. Mary-Kate Olsen does her best Gollum impression before racing off to puke up hors d'oeuvres.

This news sounds cute, but actually cruel...

TOKYO - Gohan and Aochan make strange bedfellows: one's a 3.5-inch dwarf hamster; the other is a four-foot rat snake. Zookeepers at Tokyo's Mutsugoro Okoku zoo presented the hamster — whose name means "meal" in Japanese — to Aochan as a tasty morsel in October, after the snake refused to eat frozen mice.

But instead of indulging, Aochan decided to make friends with the furry rodent. The pair have shared a cage since.

Aochan, a 2-year-old male Japanese rat snake, eventually developed an appetite for frozen rodents but has so far shown no signs of gobbling up Gohan — despite her name.

The Tokyo zoo also keeps a range of mostly livestock animals, and promotes "cross-breed interaction.

THERON RUBS PORTMAN'S HEAD

Nat news, HOW CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actress NATALIE PORTMAN was stunned when CHARLIZE THERON rushed over to rub her head at a post-Golden Globe Awards party on Monday (16JAN06).

The CLOSER actress is sporting a short haircut after shaving off all her hair last year (05) for her latest film V FOR VENDETTA.

After Theron's pal dared her to touch Portman's regrowth, the Oscar-winner couldn't resist.

Portman says, "Charlize and I have a mutual friend who dared her to come rub my head.

"My hair is growing very slowly because I am a vegetarian."
